From Courses to Conversations: Introducing The Unlearning Project

When I first launched edu.barburas.com, the vision was simple: create courses that didn’t hide behind abstract theory, but spoke to the psychology, culture, and lived experience of real life. Those courses became my starting point; explorations of dehumanization, unconscious bias, digital subcultures, and the quiet forces shaping our choices.

But there was a problem. Knowledge loses its power if it stays behind closed doors. Not everyone could access a paid course, even if the ideas resonated with them. And the truth is, these are not ideas that should stay small.

So, the format had to change.

That’s why I created The Unlearning Project, a podcast that takes the same reflective depth of those courses and opens it up for anyone to hear. Each episode distills a theme into audio that unsettles assumptions, sharpens perspective, and lingers long after the last word.

The courses haven’t disappeared; they are being transformed. Each of the programs already published on edu.barburas.com is being reimagined as a series of podcast episodes; freely available, accessible, and designed for listening. The structure remains, but the walls have come down.

And the door doesn’t end there. Because listening is only the beginning. The deeper work happens in workshops and keynotes, where teams and organizations take these ideas and test them against the complexity of their own realities. That is where reflection becomes practice, and practice becomes change.

This is the next chapter for edu.barburas: not smaller, but broader. Not hidden, but shared. Not only courses, but conversations.
